The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is the world’s only year-round, professional ensemble re-creating the syncopated sounds of early musical theater, silent cinema, and vintage dance.

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra and its conductor, Rick Benjamin are featured performers in the PBS-Television Great Performances series Now Hear This. The hour-long episode, entitled Everyone Loves Joplin, explores the life, music, and legacy of the great American-American composer Scott Joplin. The program is hosted by violinist Scott Yoo and directed by Harry Lynch.
Everyone Loves Joplin premiers on Friday, April 17 at 9:00 pm Eastern / 8:00 Central on PBS, pbs.org/gperf and the PBS app.
